Product Review: Dr. Bronner's Peppermint Soap

This is by far one of my favorite products and is a definite must-have for me!

I have been using Dr. Bonner's Peppermint Soap (liquid) for quite some time now and I recently discovered a great use for it (besides the obvious).

It's such a great soap- it's filled with all-natural goodness and it cleanses like no other soap I've ever used, leaving your skin feeling cool and tingly... perfect for days when you've been outside and/or sweating. You do have to be careful of that sensitive area below the waist, as this will burn something awful if it stays down there too long! So I suggest keeping it above the belt and using a more gentle cleanser for the other part. I have also used it on my face when I feel like my skin needs a deeper, more "detoxifying" cleansing. And let's not forget the health benefits of peppermint- the scent alone clears your sinuses, helps with respiratory issues and can alleviate headaches!

Now onto the wonderful new use for this soap... last night, I used it as a clarifying shampoo and it was the most wonderful thing to ever touch my scalp! It literally gets your hair squeaky clean (I only shampoo my scalp and let it run through the length of my hair when I rinse) so I follow up with a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. In the future, I may not buy shampoo ever again and only use Dr. Bronner's Peppermint Soap and a deep conditioner! Hmm...

I have seen this soap at Whole Foods, Target, American Apparel and Walgreen's but the best price (from what I recall) is at Whole Foods. It comes in 3 sizes and I would suggest you buy the small size just to try it out... that's what I did and now I only purchase the large size because I can't imagine life without it!
